I recently added two additions to the tank, a palyathoa polyp and a encrusting montipora. The palya is a very rare color formation called Purple People Eaters (PPE) and the encrusting monitpora is also another very rare color formation called Super Man for its blue body and bright red polyps. I took some pictures the best I could, I can’t wait to see these covering my tank. Hope you enjoy!

Today I took the tanks to Manny at Marine Design Systems to get started on the overflow boxes and drains. He is also going to be working on a custom sump and refugium for me. The sump/refugium will be 36″ Long, 16″ wide and 16″ tall. It will be able to fit a ASM G3 skimmer and the return pump of my choice. I am thinking of running an external pump only because it will be easier to clean when needed and it will allow me to add more room to the refugium space. The entire sump will be made from acrylic and fit to my specific needs.

I am in the process of building a 60g Frag System consisting of two 30g breeder tanks. One frag tank will be for LPS (Large Polyp Stoney) corals and softies (mostly Zoanthids) and the other for SPS (Small Polyp Stoney) corals. Each will be run on VHO Lighting and on the same filtration system (still planning on what to run). Here are some pictures of the tanks I purchased from Big Al’s for just $54.99 each. Today I picked up a huge colony of mixed Eagle Eyes and Radioactive Dragon Eyes zoanthids Colony from Coral Reef Farm at a awesome price! These zoanthids originate from Vietnam and are filled with incredible color; golds, oranges, reds, greens, and black. These pictures were taken under 150w 14,000k HQI bulb, alone. No alterations have been made to these photos. It’s a bit big for my 30g so I might be fragging it when I start getting more coral to make more room for various other corals. I stopped by Coral Reef Farm today and picked up a small frag of zoo’s to see how they will do in the tank, there already opened all the way up and look great, a mix of Eagle Eyes and Radio Active Dragon Eyes, going back tomorrow to pick up a big colony. They had alot of really nice corals and some sps, but want to wait a bit longer before putting sps in this moderately new tank.
