I previously received email inquiries for this domain, xpenny.com, after just a day we had come to an agreement on a price and the whole transaction was completed via Sedo.com. I originally purchased this domain close to one year ago via TDNAM (Godaddy Auctions). I was able to flip the domain for $475.00 – a great ROI from my original purchase price.

The domain did receive some type in / SE traffic, but nothing to go crazy about. I originally planned to build some type of Penny trading site on it, but considering the projects I am currently working on, it seemed like a better idea to sell it and put the funds towards those projects.

The Sedo auction for Zlig.com has ended. It looked like it was going to end at $360, but last minute bidders ran up the auction to $510. It was one bidder versus a proxy bidder and I believe if the proxy bidder was active it would of went for much more, but nonetheless, I am VERY happy with the sale price. I got a great ROI in a very small time frame and I am sure the winner is pretty happy too. He/she got a GREAT pronounceable LLLL.com for a very moderate price and wouldn’t be surprised to see it back up again in the near future for a lot more money

Well, since I got up this morning NamePros.com has been down. It is now 8:10pm US Eastern Time and it is still down. Anyone know what has happened? Are they upgrading? Moving to new servers? Dos attack? I don’t usually frequent this forum / web site, but had a deal pending with a member there and I didn’t get enough information to contact him any other way, so I am curious as to whats going on. Has anyone spoke to any NamePros mods or admins?

**Update** It seems some of the moderators are unsure as to what is going on with NamePros as well, RJ has yet to comment on his twitter, although his last tweet was on the 30th of November, so maybe he is focusing on rectifying the situation rather than twittering (don’t blame him). It is now 11:28pm US East and the forum is still not resolving.

Now, quit asking yourself if NamePros is down and stop hitting refresh to NamePros.com and let’s all be patient I am sure RJ is doing everything he can to get NamePros back up asap.

***UPDATE*** As of 8:36am Us Eastern time, NamePros.com Domain Name Forum is now back up and running. It appears this issue was caused by a change of Nameservers, but as to who changed them and for what reason is unknown. I guess we shall wait for a answer from RJ when he wakes up as I am sure he has been working on this for more than 24 hours.

Well, someone got lucky today and won 7bo.com for just $260.00 in Sedo Auction this morning. The terrible part about the situation is that I have no control over the end time of the auction and it ended around 5:30 am US East on a Monday out of all days. Very little people are up that early on a Monday and if they are, they are getting ready to go to work and not much attention is being paid to what auctions are ending on Sedo.

Another theory for this low sale is Sedo’s new design and layout. Not only does the website look very “amateurish” but the layout is incredibly confusing and the home page no longer gives any attention to closing auctions. You have to navigate through the site to find the ‘Market Activity’ page and then hope that your domain is in queue to be shown on this page.  Before when you would go to Sedo.com or Sedo.co.uk they would have Featured Domains, Featured Auctions, Previous Sales, etc. on the front home page, where these domains got tons of exposure and most domains wouldn’t end without being extended due to the amount of added bidders / participants to the auction due to the visability.

Sedo needs to up their game and start listening to their customers about the changes.

Well, after a mass overload of offers on Sedo, I just sent Penetrating.net to auction on Sedo starting at $300.00 ~ Anyone knows a Dictionary .net domain name usually sells for high $xxx low $x,xxx at the minimum, especially for such a common term at reseller pricing. If you can find the right end user, I am sure they will pay a small fortune for it.

If you look up the google results exactly for “Penetrating” comes up with a result of 12,800,000 results. Google Keyword Tool shows that this word is searched approximately 110,000 times a month. Great keyword that matches the .net extension well.
